Seminars and Conferences

Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies sience 2010 has organized more than: 15 international conferences, 20 international seminars and 18 lectures.

Centre cooperated with partners with Europe and India. Specialist form CCIRS were invited to take part in publicist programs in media and to comment recent events in India. Think-tanks form Europe and India were interested to cooperate with CCIRS: Tribhuvan University, Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, University of Calcutta. In 2010 CCIRS together with partners organized also events not planned in the project accepted by EU. Those events turned to be very important to methodological and research criteria, events were also very important for promotion of CCIRS.  For example seminar in Bangalore in October and December 2010, seminar organized together with South Asia Institute in June 2010 in Heidelberg. In 2010 UW with partners (strategic and  associates) prepared outline for activity of CCIRS in 2011 which were not mentioned in project.  Activity of CCIRS cause financial and scientific commitment in common initiative: conference in Calcutta with cooperation with  Institute of Foreign Policy Studies, University of Calcutta in Delhi (Institute of Economic Growth), in February in Leuven and in March in Oxford, in April in Brussels Brukseli (Vrije University of Brussels) in May in Florence (University of Florence). Those initaitve consolidate European and Indian dimensions of the Centre. It contribute to spread knowledge and promotion about contemporary India and promotion of EU.
