Conference in Warsaw, June 1st 2012:"India and the European Union in International Relations – New Challenges, Old Problems?"


Institute of International Relations Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw and Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies IIR in cooperatin with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi and Global College Internationalorganized conference:

"India and the European Union in International Relations – New Challenges, Old Problems?",  which took place on 1st of June,University of Warsaw Library, room 316, Dobra 56/66, Warsaw.


 In line with the Centre's interdisciplinary approach, the roles of India and the EU in global governance will be analysed using tools specific to various disciplines, including international law, economics, international relations, history, and socio-cultural studies. The topics conference will address include the nature of EU-India relations, the mutual commitment to the rule of law and democracy, and its consequences. The debate is intended to provide a framework for a more in-depth analysis of the EU-India relations, which would result in an innovative research agenda, offering recommendations for policy-makers and businesses representing India and the EU countries.
