Seminar in Warsaw, November 22nd 2011: International Relations Theory – European and American perspectives

Prof. Knud Erik Jorgensen (Aarhus University) gave lecture on International Relations Theory – European and American perspectives. Seminar was chaired by prof. Jacek Czaputowicz. Professor Jorgensen gave five different perspectives on theory in international relations, underline importance of cooperation between European and American scholars and gave very optimistic opinion about dynamic development of theories in Europe.  There was also discussion about theories and paradigms used in India. Neorealism is still one of the strongest approaches in South Asia but liberalism is getting more and more popular especially in case of economic cooperation. In seminar participated scholars from Institute of International Relations UW: dr Justyna Nakonieczna, dr Karina Jędrzejowska, dr Aleksandra Jarczewska, dr Anna Wróbel, dr Paula Marcinkowska, mgr Paweł Sokala and PhD students from Nepal (Tribhuvan University/Global Collage of Management): Mukti Suvedi and Anuz Triwari.
